The James Hudson Trio takes the stage at Velvet to honour the timeless songs of Frank Sinatra in celebration of his upcoming birthday – a legend who has profoundly shaped Hudson’s own musical journey. Join us for an evening full of jazz and cabaret performances where Sinatra’s classics come alive with fresh allure and sophistication.
With a critically acclaimed debut album already under his belt and a second album out in 2024, British vocalist James Hudson is a rising star in UK jazz. A captivating and charming performer who has a natural affinity with an audience, James Hudson’s outstanding voice can communicate the nuances of a melody and lyric with great interpretive prowess which undoubtedly sets him apart as a jazz singer at the top of his game. Having recently sold out his first show at the world renowned Ronnie Scott’s, James is in demand at many of the UK’s most respected jazz clubs.
Adding to the magic, lively cabaret dancers will elevate the evening with their dazzling performances.
At midnight, the beloved DJ Mari-Liis will play her signature vocal house, featuring Ibiza classics mixed with new and cool.
